The Race For Inspiration

Daily updates are the best thing you can do to get to the top and stay there, however, that requires a steady flow of inspiration. For most blogs, daily updates are probably best, but weekly or even monthly updates might work as well, depending on your topic. Blogs with daily updates are especially successful as the reader may make it a habit to visit once a day. Visitors who return on a daily basis is a great thing. They help you build an online network of people and if they return on a daily basis they will probably recommend your blog to their friends, which means more visitors. However, to make daily updates you need to...

Court the Muses

How do you gain inspiration for writing articles. Inspiration is one of those fleeting things. Some may say that they do not have time for inspiration, but inspiration is far more consistent than most people realize. Get started with your work, and the inspiration will come. It's important to make time in your schedule to be creative. Innovative ideas can be planned. I recommend that you have a notepad and a pen with you at all times. Whenever an idea pops up write it down. You might not think that this idea is worth writing a blog post about, but then again you do need to make that daily update and you need a starting point. When you get back to your computer start writing whatever comes into your head based on one of your ideas, chances are that it will guide you in the direction of something solid.

Writers Blog

Blogs make having a simple website much easier, and as a result, the number of people who write for the Web has exploded. Descriptive headlines are especially important for representing your weblog in search engines, newsfeeds (RSS), and other external environments. It can often be worthwhile to think of a headline first. Don't think of that headline as set in stone. It's a starting point for your blog post. A starting point from which you will build your post and possibly be inspired to make more posts.

Reading Is Also Writing

Reading other blogs can be a great inspiration but they're also a great distraction. The problem is that you never know which blogs will inspire you and which will distract you. My tip is to read a few paragraphs and then ask yourself if you're going somewhere or nowhere.

Creative Blog Posts Require Inspired Thoughts

How your work becomes unique is in many ways rooted in how you turn your inspiration into creativity. Creativity is an ongoing process, and needs to be fostered along. So what can we do to foster creativity? I find that when we are able to quieten the mind, we often discover an inner source of creativity and inspiration. Be sure to make time for yourself. Time to be creative and think wild thoughts. Plan for creativity just as you would for other essential tasks, and innovation will not be a lucky event.

Finding inspiration is one of the most difficult aspects of writing daily updates. Making time is an active and purpose-driven effort, not a hopeful search. Making daily updates to your blog can be a very rewarding effort, on many levels.
