Write Content - The Basics of Content Writing For Your Blog!

The key to having a successful blog is continually to write content that will pique your readers' interest and keep them on their toes. There are some things you need to remember when writing content for your blog.

The average reader on the internet spends only a few second on each site they visit. That means you have very little time to capture your readers' interest. To make the most of that time you need to make sure that your blog posts are easily scannable and that your headlines draw the reader in!

You need to make sure that you are using short paragraphs. If possible highlight key points in your content and add lists whenever possible. This adds contrast to the page and makes it easily scannable.

Improve the staying power of your blog posts by linking internally between posts whenever possible. If you want to check if there are previous posts that it would be a good idea to link to you can always filter your posts by categories or tags to see if there are any relevant posts to link to.

Furthermore, remember this, when you are writing content your previous blog posts are often the best source of inspiration for new blog posts. Especially if you notice that a particular blog post is getting a lot of traffic. In that case you know that you have written a piece of content that truly resonates with your audience.

It would be foolish not to take advantage of such a great opportunity to write content that you know your readers will love!

Thinking about search engine optimization (SEO) when you're writing content is important. After all, what good will it do that you spend hours slaving over great content if nobody can find it? I'm an advocate of writing content based on keywords found with keyword tools. However, it's important that you keep the quality of the content in mind instead of focusing solely on getting keywords into your text. I've seen some really horrendous examples of keyword based content, even from big time bloggers and marketers!

Just to summarize you should focus on writing content that is easy to scan, attracts attention and can be found in the search engines. Build on your previous successes and don't be afraid to experiment with your blog posts. You have to write content almost daily so you might as well make it as enjoyable and fun as possible!

Rules For Blogging Websites Using Seo Keyword Tools To Boost Their Traffic

By: Mike Nielsen

Most people with blogging websites have no idea how to promote them properly! In fact, it is not uncommon for people to mess up the "on site" promotion of their blog. If you mess up the basics when writing your content you might just as well stop trying! When you start writing your blog posts it is important that you find keywords that will make it easier for your target audience to locate your content! This can easily be done using free keyword research tools.

However, what is more important is that you do it right! There are certain rules you need to follow when optimizing your blog content!

Rule 1: Don't Overdo It!

Although the search engines do use keywords, among other things, to decide how a page should rank they don't just rank the page with the most keywords the highest. The people working on the algorithms the search engines use are actually quite clever and they realize that people will just try to take advantage of this. That's why you need to go with a keyword density that is no higher than 2.5%!

Rule 2: Use Your Main Keyword As Close To The Beginning Of The Title Of Your Blog Post As Possible!

The title of your page is very important to the search engines. For that reason it is important to put your main keywords close to the beginning if the article.

Rule 3: Never Let Keywords Ruin Your Content!

It can be tempting to flood your blog post with keywords. Don't!

Doing so will not only make the post unreadable, but as mentioned in rule 1 the search engines will pick up on it. As important as keywords are to get your content recognized you should never sacrifice the quality of your content. It will only come back and hit you like a boomerang!

Rule 4: Above All Else Focus On Quality!

We talked a bit about it in rule 3, however, the importance on quality cannot be exaggerated! It might be possible to lure first time visitors to low quality content, but in the long run your blog will be far better served by providing only the highest level of quality. This rule applies not only to blogging websites, but to all websites!

Rule 5: Don't Overdo It!

This is exactly the same as rule 1, but it's so important that it's worth mentioning as many times as possible.

Finding keywords that will boost your blogs search engine rankings is something you should always do to increase your blogs business potential. However, do make sure that you don't overdo it!

Do you know what kind of blogging advice you really need to start blogging for profit?

Let me tell you right away, it's not what you think. What I've learned is that blogging profit does not depend on the way you decide to monetize your blog!

There are many, way too many, courses on blogging available on the internet. All these courses promise people like us huge profits if we follow them, and occasionally invest in one of their gazillion gadgets!

If you think that the most important part of blogging success is whether you use contextual ads or affiliate promotions you're wrong. And too many of these courses just don't tell you that.

Now, I'm not saying that there's no difference between the two ways of making money from your blog, but if you don't use these strategies it is not going to matter, not one bit. The truth is without these strategies your blog will never be profitable!

I bet you're eager to hear what these to blog profit secrets are. Don't worry! We'll get right on it!

First of all, you need to pick the right topic. Most courses will tell you to write about something you're interested in. However, what's the point of that if you're the only one who cares about that topic?

What you need to do to avoid picking a bad topic is to perform a bit of market research!

The easiest way is to enter your topic into Google. I there are ads at the top of your search results or along the right side of the screen you know you're not the only one who's interested in the topic. That's not all there is to market research, but it's a great place to start!

The second thing you need to do is make sure that people actually want to read your blog posts, and that they are able to find your blog posts. That means two things. To find your posts people need to be able to find them in the search engines.

You need to do some basic search engine optimization. To start with I suggest you enter your main keyword into the title meta tag and the keywords meta tag on your page. I'd also suggest putting an additional handful related terms into the keywords meta tag. This isn't going to propel you to number 1 on google, but it's still a good start!

When you write your blog post it is important that you write in a way that makes people want to read it! you can do that by simply writing like you talk, which is far more appealing to read than a post written in a fancy linguistic style!

These are by far the most important pieces of blogging advice I can give you if you want to start blogging for profit!

Will you become a master blogger using this blogging advice?

probably not!

However, if you're serious about blogging for profit you need to start applying these strategies today!
